Lumo comes out of two people running small teams and hitting the same wall from different sides: marketing that mattered, but never got the time, budget, or headcount it needed.
Lumo has two cofounders. One is a software developer, the other a product expert — a split that means we can go from an idea to something real without waiting on anybody else.
Peter ran UserActive, a design and development agency serving B2B SaaS companies. Jakob has launched several products of his own. Different vantage points, same recurring problem: marketing was always the piece that took more time, cost, and effort than a small team could reasonably give it.
At UserActive it was a constant. There was a team doing good work, and getting the word out reliably was somehow always the hardest part of the week. Not because nobody knew what to write — because consistently producing it, on brand, across channels, is a full-time job that a small team simply doesn't have a spare person for.
We both kept waiting for a tool like Lumo to show up. Eventually we stopped waiting.
Big companies solve this by hiring a marketing team. Everybody else does it in the gaps between real work, or not at all. That gap is the entire reason Lumo exists: we want small and medium businesses to have the output of a marketing team without needing to hire one.
So Lumo learns your brand, drafts the week, and waits for your yes. It does the part that eats the time, and leaves the judgement where it belongs — with you.
Small on purpose. Both of us talk to customers, and both of us ship.
Founder of UserActive, a UI/UX and web development agency for B2B SaaS. Years of watching good teams struggle to market themselves consistently — the problem Lumo is pointed directly at.

Connect on LinkedInThe output of a marketing department shouldn't be gated behind the budget to hire one. That's the whole point of Lumo.
Nothing reaches your audience without a person saying yes. AI drafts, you decide — we're not interested in building anything that posts behind your back.
Most tools hand you more work dressed up as features. Lumo should take work off your plate, not add a tab you have to remember to open.
Generic content is worse than no content. Lumo learns your brand so what it drafts reads like your team wrote it.
We're building this in the open with the people who have the problem. If marketing is the thing your team never gets to, tell us about it.
